Brrr, I think the weather has finally decided that Fall is here. For the past few weeks, we've been having gorgeous summer like temperatures. This morning it's freezing!! That's OK though, it makes me want to bake bread all day! I'm looking forward to comfort foods. Soups, stews and casseroles are on the horizon. Thanksgiving is in about 8 days, here in Canada, so I have to plan my menu today. Hubby will be home next weekend, which is when we plan to celebrate (rather than on the Monday). Tomorrow will be a super busy day. I need to get the school's milk program started, Queenie has a dentist appointment right after school, then I have a parent council meeting at 6. Which means I'll have to get dinner ready before leaving to pick the kids up from school. The rest of the week should be relatively quiet, except for Thursday. I head to a local Ranch with Queenie's class, for a field trip! Should be a blast. Here is my plan for this week
- Chocolate chip pancakes with fresh fruit salad
- Homemade Stromboli (new recipe) with a tossed salad
- Hubby's Chicken and Dumplings
- spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread and salad
- Thanksgiving (menu yet to be decided)
