What's for Eats? Sunday November 16,2014

Meal planning is a great way to save money on groceries and you won't be standing in front of the fridge at 4pm, wondering what to make!

Happy Sunday!!! Well, we've been hit with this years first snow of the season. The kids are overjoyed, hubby and I are less than impressed. We could do without the whole snow thing, LOL. But that's one of the things we have to put up with, if we want to live in Ontario again.

The kids and I braved the cold and went to the Santa Clause Parade last night. It's becoming a Mommy/kid tradition, since Hubby has to work every year. They really appreciate that I try to do fun things with them, even if Daddy isn't able to join us. It's like an adventure for them, since we ride the city bus, which is something we do not do very often. We had a great time and loved seeing Santa and giving him the kid's letters. After a quick bite, while waiting for the bus to take us home, we braved the crowded bus and got home to warm up, while watching our first Christmas movie of the season. I'm slowly getting into the spirit of Christmas.

I don't think we have much planned this week. I will be helping in Kindie Land on Wednesday and sort pizzas for Pizza Day on Friday. I'm hoping to maybe get a bit more Christmas shopping done, since I now have a few ideas for gifts for Hubby. Here is our plan for the week (in no particular order)

30 Minute Dinner Rolls
  • Baked Black Bean Empanadas with Spanish Rice (new recipes)
  • leftovers
  • Moose Meatballs (new recipe) with gravy, mashed potatoes and roast cauliflower
  • Roast Chickpea Tacos (new recipe)
  • leftovers
Rosemary Thyme Roast Chicken and Potatoes

I really want to start meal-planning. I think it would take away some of the stress of last-minute meal prep! Oh and the Rosemary Thyme Chicken looks delish!
