What's for Eats? Sunday February 8th, 2015

Meal planning is a great way to save money on groceries and you won't be standing in front of the fridge at 4pm, wondering what to make!

Happy Sunday! I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. Ours has been nice and quiet, which is good, because last week was pretty hectic. We've had many Drs appointments to go to and I have been busy helping at school, filling in for other moms, who had hockey tournaments to go to. The weekend is always much anticipated, LOL.

Hubby and I have decided that we will be trying to eat more healthily, for his health and mine. I need to loose some fluff and he needs to get back to good health. So I may not be posting as many sweets. It's been a bit tough cutting out most carbs and trying to eat more veggies and meat. I can't eat too many vegetables in a day, with my ostomy, so it's tricky to balance some days. I'm hoping a meeting with the nutritionist will help me plan my days out better. Here is what I have planned for dinners this week:



  • leftovers
  • Roast chicken, roast pepper squash and onions, and steamed broccoli
  • Chicken stir fry (cauliflower, peppers, snow peas, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, carrot and onion)
  • leftovers
  • Southwest Pinto Bean Burgers (no buns)
