Meal planning is a great way to save money on groceries and you won't be standing in front of the fridge at 4pm, wondering what to make!

Happy Father's Day and happy first day of summer!!! We only have 4 days of school left and I am pretty much crawling to the finish line. Hubby pulled off another successful end of the year school carnival and I, as his secretary and helper, am exhausted, LOL. The rain held off and the students had a blast. I am glad school is almost at an end, as do the students and teachers.
We don't have any big plans for Father's day today. Hubby got home super late (or early this morning), due to them rerouting traffic over night for a bridge demolition on the highway. So I'm sure he'll be sleeping in until noon. The kids and I plan to make him breakfast in bed, and bring him his gifts to open. Then I'm sure he'll want to watch a Star Wars movie before heading back in to work.
We have a short school week, with only 4 days until summer vacation. I need to think of some end of school treats to send with the kiddos on Thursday. I need to go in and give the milk fridges a good scrubbing and contact a few people who still haven't picked up their silent auction items from our carnival night. I'd also like to bring in something special for the teachers, since it's their last week and they have all done such a wonderful job again this year.
This is what I have planned for dinner this week
- Grilled steak and potatoes with a spinach salad
- Crispy Asparagus Stuffed Sole with rice pilaf (brought over from last week)
- Chicken Fajita Pasta (new recipe) with meatless taco salad
- Pulled Pork Sandwiches (new recipe) with coleslaw
- Grilled Maple Dijon Pork Chops with potato salad
